In afew days I`m off to Tromsø, and TIFF. It`s ben five years since I was there the last time, so I am really looking forward to see the city and enjoy the atmosphere of the festival again. Updates will follow!

Pre-launch today, and in stores in about a week! I am looking forward to check this magazine out, even though traditional nature-photography is really not my cup of tea. But hopefully this will not be a traditional photomagazine either, and I also hope that the contents are not as lame as the layout.

This is a formation close to where I live here in Lofoten, called Djevelporten, (The Devils Gate) and I will hopefully use this rocky bridge in a photography later on this winter. More re-makes of old pictures at tommyhovik.com
I can really not decide if this was the best, or the worst film I saw at TIFF this year. But going to Tromsø for almost a week, and staying at Kim`s place was definately a hit, just like the closing party yesterday, with Dee Jays Kohib, Gymbag, Poppa Lars and Kyrre Krunk! Also a big thank you to Stig for major beverage hook-ups at Circa!

Inspired by this post from Brian Ulrich`s blog, I will try to go out to Henningsvær and re-shoot this picture in extremely bad weather (according to forecasts and newspapers) tomorrow. Hopefully there will be some daylight, even though the sun is still low and clouds will be dark and dense. I got some more plans for the picture too, but more about that later.

Finally some evidence that I get something done up here in Lofoten. This is a picture I took at Unstad in late september `09, used in this winter`s Norrøna retailers-guide. The designers made the picture a bit brighter then I had hoped for, but it still makes sense. As you can see, we had all types of weather that day. The picture is taken with my Hasselblad Super Wide C from 1966. Photo: LK

I was reading Lofotposten today, and all of a sudden a case about this picture by Robert Capa (Magnum) showed up! The picture was probably taken in 1956. More old pics.

I just discovered a pretty good stencil-art documentation from the different projects by Dolk and Pøbel (and others?) around here in Lofoten. Check it.

Congratulations to my buddies Espen Nersveen and Jo Straube on their photo-awards lately, well done! Also awarded, Øyvind Hjelmen, a long time favourite of mine.

They take you to the HoeTell on NRK P3, saturdays at 20-22 from now on. That IS some hot shit.

Nice work Endre, go PROG!
Some next-level gear switch-up featuring editor and skier HP Hval, (on snowboard) pro snowboarder Danny Larsen (skiing) and me trying out the Canon 5D mk2 in Tryvann Vinterpark yesterday.
